COVID-19: Due to state "pause" or "partial shutdown"- whatever you call it, only socially distanced photography is allowed. Classes requiring indoor instruction are on hold still. At this point, I'm going to suspend new shoots until the New Year. I will be fulfilling currently booked sessions, but until something hashes out somewhere any new bookings will have to be after the start of 2021. This has been an incredibly difficult year, please understand that I need this break to regroup and figure things out.
Please feel free to drop me an email if you have questions!
Otherwise bounce on over to Inkblot Arts/Michelle Premer Photography on FB- Like/Follow the page for the most recent (usually daily) creative crazy!!
Yes. You are in the right place. Workshoots.com now comes to this site. While Workshoots is on a psuedo permanent hiatus currently- Michelle Premer Photography is not. Contact me directly at MLPremer@gmail.com Thanks so very much and I'm looking forward to working with you!!!
To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Hello and welcome to my website!! Pour a cup of coffee, find a comfortable seat and some free WiFi and stay a while! You are about to enter the domain of a self-taught photographer and artist and all that entails.
The glowing pinks, purples, and oranges of sunsets; mist and lily pads on a cool morning pond; the beating wings of a hummingbird, sizzle of summer lightning… Words can only create images that conjure memories, to remind us of our experiences. A photographer’s passion is to capture these moments before that evaporate into memory…
I hate being pigeonholed by naming genres- I like the work displayed in these many galleries speak to what I shoot… I am a multi-media artist with photography being one of those mediums. I use my camera like I use my paintbrushes- I shoot with a very artistic eye. I do love using non-traditional compositions, I often break the rule of thirds, and I ignore the stereotypes of what things should be. Boudoir doesn’t have to be soft light, feather boas, and perfectly placed pillows. It can be a woman wearing her boyfriend’s jacket. It can be a woman in a white tee shirt backlit by a country sunset.
I prefer shooting outdoors. Mother Nature lends her own temperament and splendor to the images. Traditional photographers love the control of working in a studio- creating light where it should be. I like going with the flow and seeing what happens next.
Going into a photography session- I will have notes and an outline of what shots I ultimately want to get. After that- all bets are off. I like crazy ideas, spur of the moment “Can we try this??”, or the “So- I saw this on (insert name of social media platform here), what do you think?”
